Scholars visiting HMML may view both microfilm and digitized images of complete manuscripts without charge.
Copyright statement:
Manuscript Copies Scholars who desire copies of complete manuscripts in digital form or on microfilm should complete the order form. Screen-resolution digital copies of manuscripts will be delivered on CD or DVD disks. For manuscripts from HMML's digital projects since 2003, scholars can view up to three manuscripts at a time online for free. This capability covers manuscripts from libraries in Lebanon, Turkey, Syria, Ukraine and certain collections from Malta and Ethiopia. Please check this option on the order form if applicable. Note: Permission from the owning institution may be required for duplication of microfilm or of digital images. Scholars who wish to publish images from any collection may need additional permission from the owning institution. Manuscript Inquiries Please identify manuscripts by country, city, owning library, and shelf mark when making an inquiry. Usually we cannot locate manuscripts by genre. If you are using OLIVER and have an inquiry, please include the HMML source number from the record. NEW! Manuscript Images Online at No Charge Manuscript images are for scholarly or educational use only. Duplication of microfilm or digital images for any purpose is forbidden without permission. Publication of images requires prior permission from the owning institution sought through HMML. Publication of critical editions may require permission of the owning library. Users of these images agree to cite the owning institution as well as the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library, Saint John's Abbey and University, Collegeville, Minnesota, in any publications referring to these images and/or their content. They are also encouraged to submit two copies of any published work containing references to HMML's microfilms or digital images to HMML (one copy will be forwarded to the owning institution). |

Prices for Goods and Services
Do not send money with your order. You will receive an invoice,
which may be payable by check, (we only accept checks that are
written in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank), International Money
order or credit card.
Microfilm
Copies of whole manuscripts (black and white positive only: $65.00 per film (plus
shipping).
Digital Copies of Complete Manuscripts on Disk
$65.00 per manuscript (plus shipping). NOTE: HMML no longer charges additional administration fees on microfilm or digital orders. Scholars from the Middle East, Africa and south Asia qualify for a modified fee schedule; please inquire for details.
Color Prints
Color prints of individual folia from digitized manuscripts are
available for $5.00 per 8" x 10" print from a color original, (plus
service fee and shipping). Minimum service fee per printout order:
$25.00 per hour.
Printouts
(15 folia or less, from a manuscript only) from bitonal microfilm
are available for $ .75 per frame (plus service fee and shipping).
Minimum service fee per printout order: $25.00 per hour.
Photocopies--Laser Prints from Computers
Black and white photocopies made by visiting researchers are priced at $.05 per page.
Printouts made on HMML's networked laser printers are $.10 per page.
Some of the owning libraries have special conditions and
stipulations . You will be notified of these conditions before your
order is processed. |
