An illustrated travel book describing the Mediterranean islands, including Malta.

Titlepage                           Landing at Valletta (near the site of the Customs House)               General's Rock.  Possibly Fungus Rock, on Gozo.  Here grew a rare fungus that the Knights believed had medicinal properties.  The Order had a monopoly on harvesting the fungus.           Maltese costumes.  The woman wears a faldetta, a hood that must be held with one hand.
