The dialogue is divided in two sections: the first one for S, A and the second one for S, S, B. The two soprano parts include the music of the first and last part of the dialogue ("Ave gratia plena..", "Dabit illi dominus.."); the bass is included only in the final verse "Dabit illi dominus deus..". On f. 1v of the bass part is also included the organ part indicating A due Alti. o Tenori. One of the organ part carries same music one tone lowered. The organ part correponding to the verse "Dabit illi" is identical to the same part available in Mus. Ms. 155b. In the 1709 music inventory, held in the Mdina Cathedral Archives, an omonymous work is attributed to Marotta.
