33 volumes, on 33 reels of microfilm.
Language of materials: French This series contains the official correspondence addressed to the French consul in Malta between 1719 and 1798, housed in the Archives of the Cathedral Museum in Mdina, Malta. They contain reports, news, gossip, information about shipments of merchandise, and negotiations to free captives. The French consul also acted as the representative of his country at the Grand Master’s court, and members of the Order are mentioned in these documents. The letters are unbound and written on paper. Many have been sliced for fumigation upon arrival in Malta. Volumes in series:
